The purpose of the College Age Ministry is to provide encouragement and watchful care for young people who are at risk during the transitional period from high school graduation to the time they begin their professional careers. The goal is to make this a time of vigorous growth by providing accountability rather than allowing them to languish spiritually while floating between churches.

We're a community of college-age students at Rusty River Ministries  working to be the kind of community that shares God’s love with others, connects together in relationships, grows spiritually, serves the church and the world, and honors God with our lives.

To learn about connecting together in authentic relationships, join us Sundays at 9:30 in Magnolia Room for our Table Groups.

To learn about honoring and worshiping God with our lives, join us Tuesdays at 7:00 P.M. in The Loft for the Foundry.

We also have events happening monthly - check out the Home page!

ENCOUNTER is an awesome spiritually relevant ministry focused on the age group (18 thru 25-ish). Our group includes; singles, married, college students, full-time employed, guys, girls, not to mention a wide range of interests.

We are interested in getting to know you better, plus helping you get to know Christ and grow deeper in that relationship. We have a lot of fun, and at the same time dig deep into the Bible to help us understand life better and how we can best live our life for God. So, if you want to plug into an active group, be challenged in your faith, build relationships with people your own age and interests; then come and join us.

We meet on Wednesdays at 7:30. We kick things off with worship from the Gratitude Band and follow it up with messages relevant to a college student's life.

College-age? We Need You!

If you are seeking a summer mission trip and are college-age or older, our College Missions Ministry needs you. You will not only make in impact overseas, you will make disciples.

Each summer we take hundreds of students on short-term mission trips around the world. Our mission trips are longer, five to eight weeks, and make a huge impact on the mission field and in the students' lives. This impact does not come accidentally.

We have spent more than 25 years designing our mission trips to impact each student as well as the mission field. We don't just use students as a tool to reach the world. We work in students so they can reach the world. College Ministry uses a strategy of making disciples that will make disciples so the mission work will continue long after the students come home.

This requires intensive discipleship. If student's are merely a work force, a means to an end, one team leader can put them to the work of the mission. When students are the mission, like on a College Missions Ministry mission trip, then discipleship is an inseparable part of the trip. To do it right, we use the team leader and staff disciplers.

Do you want to go on a mission trip and make disciples? Then you should consider coming on the College Missions Ministry as a staff discipler. Staff disciplers mentor and lead students through the mission trip. It is a unique position on the team, and comes with great challenges and rewards.

Be A Disciple Who Make Disciples
If you are 19 and older and come on the College Missions Ministry, you can apply to be a staff discipler. As a staff discipler, you will be assigned one to four students and help them walk through the ministry and apply what they learn to their lives.

You won't just participate in the outreach. You will have to lead other younger students assigned to you through one of the greatest challenges they have faced yet.

Being a staff discipler is about care; it's a role where you will be called to care for those in your group spiritually, emotionally, and physically. As a staff discipler, you will lead your small group in Bible studies, help them learn how to memorize Scripture, and walk alongside them as they grow in Christ.

Small Groups

Small Groups are peer-led groups of five to ten people who meet in homes, apartments, dorms, campuses, and coffee shops all over the County. Small groups are the heartbeat of our ministry – it’s where you get to connect and experience life together with other people your age.

If you’re interested in launching a college-age ministry at one of our newer regional campuses, or if you’d like to join a college-age small group in one of those areas, please contact Pastor Ralph or Dan.
