Starting this evening at 7:00 PM in building 40056 a new series on:

John Calvin was not only concerned about the authority of Scripture, but also with true interpretation of Scripture and its proper use in the church. To be sure, one must begin with the authority and inspiration of Scripture: “Hence the Scriptures obtain full authority among believers only when men regard them as having sprung from heaven, as if there the living words of God were heard”. However, according to Calvin, asserting the authority and inspiration of Scripture is not enough unless interpreters of Scripture, according to their ability, supply weapons to fight against false teachings.

Advance 2009 Conference - Resurgence of the Local Church

Christ promises to build the Church, and that no force will prevail against it. Yet, the local church has been heavily battered in battle.  The Apostle Paul tells us that " . . . through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places".  The local church is called to make known the Gospel and to be the vehicle of redemption for the world. Advance09 is a conference committed to the resurgence of the local church for the glory of God. Our aim is to equip attendees with the Gospel so that the local church might become all that Jesus calls it to be. At this conference, we hope to ensure that on our watch and in our time we honor Jesus and see the resurgence of the local church. Advance09 is open to anyone: pastors and lay-leaders; church members and regular-attenders. We invite you to join us in this Great Cause

What's The Gospel?
"What's the gospel? I'll put it in a sentence.
The Gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy."
Tonight, same time, same place, Pastor Rusty puts the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ as it is.

"Jesus Wants the Rose!"
The minister got up and said we would talk about sex. He took a red rose, smelled it, and threw it out in the crowd and told them to smell the rose. He then began one of the worst, most horrific handlings of what sex is and isn’t that I ever sat through..."

Another reason religion sucks, and we need to go to the good news of the gospel.

This Christmas I'm so thankful for YOU. It's been a tough year, but we made it through together!  Three Ways To Really Experience Christmas
1.Write a "Christmas card to God."   Writing your thoughts down helps you be specific.  "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!" 1 Chron. 16:34 
2.Don't miss my next message: I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this will be the most significant Christmas message I've shared in 30 years. I can't wait to share it with you because I know it will be as life-changing for everyone who hears it as it was for me. Research shows that the attitude of gratitude actually improves your health. Bring all your family and relatives. "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.”
1 Tim. 4:4   3.Give your Christmas offering to God.   Each year, we show our gratitude to God for his blessing through our Christmas Offering. God tells us to do this: "Celebrate the Harvest Festival by bringing a thanksgiving offering in proportion to the blessing God has given you." Deut. 16:10-11
You can give your Thanksgiving Offering ONLINE on Christmas, or bring it this weekend.   "Your giving proves the reality of your faith..." 2 Cor. 9:13 (Ph)
"Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income, and he will fill your barns to overflow..." Prov. 3:9 (LB)
